With vehicles making the transition to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), windshield replacements are becoming even more complex. Front-facing cameras mounted on or near your windshield are part of your vehicle's ADAS systems and are designed to protect you and your vehicle on the road, relaying information about the conditions of the road ahead to the ADAS.
To ensure the technology is being used correctly to keep you safe, the ADAS camera must be recalibrated after a windshield replacement. When damage occurs and you need a windshield replacement, nearly all automakers specify that these camera systems need to be recalibrated.
